I'm in the same boat - had my initial consultation yesterday, going to book my follow up when I get paid. The Dr said to me that the next consultation is to talk about flower and how much they will prescribe etc.
Surely they can't say you're eligible, take £50 and then say you're not eligible, be a bit of a scam wouldn't it š¤
Would be curious to know if this has happened to anyone?
That said, I had an initial consultation 2 years ago but in between that and waiting for my follow up they then said I wasn't eligible because I had only taken one type of pharmaceutical. They refunded me for both consultations and said come back when I have tried another pharmaceutical. And that's where I'm at now.
I don't think the initial consultation is to decide whether or not you're eligible - that was determined when you sent medical records. Maybe rare cases they may decide no after initial consultation but I think it is purely to see why you want to try it and how you would like it to help you so they can then go away and discuss which will be the best product for your condition. That will be what you talk about in the follow. This is my understanding anyway.

I’ve recently gone through the process with sapphire so might be able to help! I had my initial consultation on a Monday (also felt a bit rushed, but I was given plenty of time to say everything I had intended to). I was told that I would find out if I had been approved on the Thursday of that week so I’m assuming that’s when they meet for approval of new patients - my approval/treatment letter came through via email on the Thursday morning before 9am š Not sure if the day of their meeting changes, but my consultant told me this at the end of my meeting - sucks if they didn’t tell you how long you’d have to wait?
