How can airport security all over the country be able to read a dispensing label/prescription and allow you on your way - because they've had training - while the fucking Police are seemingly unwilling and unable to get the correct information, because it's their fucking job?
It’s time we all start reporting cancard to trading standards and any other relevant authority. They are single-handedly the biggest source of misinformation, and their reckless campaigns put us actual medical patients at risk.
This FOI request needs a follow up question. "What is Merseyside Police's procedure for people stopped with cannabis and claiming to have a medical cannabis prescription but do not have a Cancard?"
I don't understand their references to 'no legislation regarding medical cannabis' as surely the 2018 amendment to the Misuse of Drugs Act is obvious.

Which voids my prescription. I have made a complaint to Merseyside police and the iopc regarding the custody suite sergeant who argued with me about the law an medical cannabis. She stated numerous time flower is not legal and I will be persecuted for an illicit drug. After me saying just go online and go on ask police she still made up laws to convince herself. The iopc have said they will push relevant training. But I still want to take this further as the officer can’t be just making laws up. Imagine if it was a more serious crime and she just chatting shit

Whats funny is the green haired youtuber was stopped in the high street smoking a spliff by the Police and he told them he was a medical cannabis patient (even though he is supposed to vape it, not smoke it.) the officer ignored his answer and asked if he had a cancard and he showed the officer it and was left alone after lol. They were more interested in the cancard, what a joke.
I have absolutely no beef with Cancard using the income from their cards to do stuff for the benefit of their subscribers. But the ineptitude of Merseyside Police is astonishing here.

The reason for Cancard existing in the first place was because Police specifically weren’t educated on the subject and now they are (to some degree) Cancard have created a monopoly which although isn’t right and ultimately doesn’t help us (MC patients) I don’t think it was done intentionally but nevertheless, that is the situation today. Even if it was intentional, it was a pretty shrewd move, after all Cancard is a private company not a charity or activist group or anything, they’re about making money.
I have far more contempt for the private clinics and dispensaries because their flower products are poor generally, they fleece us for repeat consultations and they (well mine certainly haven’t) provide zero guidance on the law or what you can and can’t do with your medical cannabis.
So how am I supposed to get a cancard when they said I’m not eligible as my condition is not recognised by them but I was accepted for a script,completely backwards and frankly annoying as all they really need to see is your ID and prescription wether that be a physical or digital copy
How did Cancard get first dibs on training all the police forces? Does Carly have links to the police and somehow got “in”? Why wouldn’t forces ask for training from those in the med cannabis industry eg doctors or training written by MC doctors and specialists in MC law? Why Carly?? What knowledge and info does she have?
We need to sue each police force every single time they harass, confiscate and don't give back, arrest and charge. The only way to create change is to make them pay, they'll soon learn once it starts costing them.
I'm a mc user. Seen can card mentioned on reddit but never read into it. Assumed it was American or something. I've not got one and never been told I needed one.
