Disappointing overall in my opinion. It makes reference to the officer enquiring whether the medicine can be returned - suggesting it should be seized. To me, this contradicts their aim of treating it like 'any other medicine' - if someone said they were legally in control of a small amount of a controlled drug but it was in a dosing container rather or some sort of travel bag, rather than the original packaging and the police seized their medicine I would think that is really inhumane behaviour. Innocent until proven guilty - the officer should make their enquiries without infringing on anyone's rights.
Unfortunately drug regulations are not devolved, so there is a limit to how much we can achieve without independence.
Regardless, training on current laws is the least every police force in the UK should be doing.
Was a bit disappointed to see the container mentioned - as someone else pointed out, they would never take issue with someone using a pill organiser, so why should the container matter as long as I can show the prescription?

as far as i have heard the situation in scotland is a lot worse and that may be why they have issued that, to educate their officers.
whatever, it is an excellent piece. short, sharp, to the point and traceable. show that to a numpty officer and you are away in ten seconds.
also, as gordons333 says, drugs are not devolved, so the advice is as relevant to met and cornwall as it is in scotland.
it will be going on my phone!
thanks.
