Minor miracle?.

Goodmorning Everyone. I had my Sourdoe last night, only a 0.1,waited 30 minutes and not the usual heavy sedate, so I had just a little touch more. Wow, I have had a shocking pain in my back for the last 4 years from a slipping disc, I have spent thousands on private specialists and various machines for pain, anyway. 5 minutes after vaping the little extra, all my muscles totally relaxed, my back more than anything, it was like my back was put back into place. OK I was pretty well medicated, but woke up today 7 hours later and zero pain in my lower back. That's the first time in many years this has happened. Obviously I won't take it for granted the pains gone for good, but it just feels amazing to feel normal even if its just for a day or 2. If nobody read I did apologise over my comment on selling MC on the street, I get people need to feed their family's and my comment was uncalled for. In future I will just chat about the benifits of MC and a few pics of my monthly script. I do really have sympathy for anybody struggling in pain who cannot go down the Mc route. Even because of lack of funds, or maybe being refused. Obviously then some people have no other option. My comment was short sighted and selfish. But moving forward I will remain positive that this medicine really is the miracle drug. I'm also down to just 3 codeine a day which a month ago I thought was near impossible. You all have a fantastic Sunday.

i dont take mc for pain so have little experience, but your story seems to say that mc is dealing with the cause of your pain, not just the symptoms?

in my limited experience, mc just disassociates me from the pain; it doesnt actually deal with the pain (as i say, this is a side effect - sometimes i have a pain when taking mc and the mc helps - but this is accidental).

But if you say it 'relaxes' your muscles and the pain is still gone the next day, when the immediate effects of mc have gone, then this seems important to me.

And now it does reflect my expereince; cannabis works long term for me. I take it in the evening and it works its magic on my digestive system. and the next day, now, and until this evening, it will continue to work its magic and keep everything calm until i top up again this evening. its doing something (a lot) beyond the immediate.

Its dealing with the (lets say 'a' cause) cause, not just the symptoms - and that is very rare.

That was a great read! SO glad to hear someone else getting benefits from this herb that they haven't got before 🥳

Sounds like the muscles surrounding the original trauma in your back have been compensating and last night had the night off - must have been an amazing feeling. And a reduction in the chemical painkiller - amazing!

I missed the original bm/mc kerfuffle you refer to but I'm pleased you finally got a good night's sleep 👍🏽

Really regret not asking for the sour now tho as everyone seems to be getting on with it. Hopefully some still in stock next month!

You do raise a point that rarely gets discussed, i.e. pain patients seem to need a lot more medication. Personally, I don't really like being too 'high', I find it distracting, but just enough to raise my mood is sufficient to keep my mental health in check. However, on days where I need it for pain I have a lot more and can't really get anything else done.

Be blessed brother 🙏

Not sure what the story is with your comment you refer to but whatever that is, at least you are a good man to apologise and show empathy.

Great news! I take mine for depression primarily, I wouldnt be here without it - no exadauration. For me, it allows me to slow racing thoughts and process them rationally, preventing them escalating quickly to a point where they control me. As an added bonus it's also helping develop my confidence, of which I have had next to none for as much of my adult life as I remember.

So while mine isnt physical pain, I certainly share your praise of MC, as opposed to the man made medicines that have had preciselt zero effect, it's changed, and indeed saved, my life.

What a refreshing post! Well done sir and glad its helping you probably in more ways than your bad back. I don't take it for pain but have a few issues with my neck and the right strain will melt pain away. It's actually quite mad.

It's an amazing feeling. I'm currently away from home and booked to use the hotel gym. First time in 10 vears. Going to something light like a few weights rowing the 3 minutes on the punchbag but atleast now at 51 I have a starting point. Usually I work then too knackered to do much, as crumpled up on the sofa in pain. Thus already has had a dramatic effect on my lifestyle and choices.

I had one of those heavenly moments just today and was going to write a post.
Was in severe pain today. A few puffs of my MC and I'm absolutely wasted but my pain has all but gone.

I wouldn't even be able to get my pain this low with morphine. Unless it was IV, but that's just daft.

Cannabis is amazing. Just wish you could choose not to get stoned at the same time.
I'm actually at the stage it's boring being stoned. I try to last the day without but today it had to be done early. Bloody amazing plant.

Well done you! Time to stop being an observer in your own lifetime eh? It's brilliant, I echo all those positives and now don't take any codeine at all. First time in decades. So very happy for you, welcome back to the world.

I'm 50, smoked pure since I was 19 , with tobacco before that, ( i was in Amsterdam in 1993 when They had skunk no1, superskunk and orange bud in the coffeshops) switched to vaping dry herb over 6 months ago, the other night I was in extreme agony with shoulder and back, vaped a bowl of sourdough, about 0.2 and I melted into the chair, couple of minutes prior I was so sore I was leaning forward. Smoking used to help but with only vaping it's so much more medicinal for Me. I accidentally combusted my dynavap recently and it feels horrible compared to sweet vapour..

I have a prescription for chronic lower back pain and find that cannabis gives me fantastic relief. I can only vape of an evening but just being able to look forward to a comfortable relaxed evening and a good night's sleep is amazing. Constant low level pain with the threat of severe pain always there wears you down, I find codeine can work to stop the pain but comes with side effects that I hate.
