If you already use cannabis prepare to be pleased to speak to a doctor so openly about cannabis, different strains, and it’s effects - doctors are humans too, chat to them as you your friend and the conversation will be more beneficial to you both. Do not downplay your current or past use as this will effect what you might be prescribed. I even disclosed my use of psychedelics and how I use them medicinally but also, at times for recreational use. I’ll be in line when psilocybin is prescribed.
My advice is to be super honest. If youve used black market weed for your condition before then tell them as it’ll make it easier for them and youre more likely to get what you want / need. Ive not had a consult with JEC but the other clinics ive been with its always been super chill and just a chat about my condition.,
The best bit of advise I can give is to be honest. The doctors aren't going to judge you or anything like that, they are there to help you. If they know everything then they can better help you. For example if you know certain strains or things don't work or do work then just let them know.
Don't stress about it! You'll be fine! One thing I did that helped me was between booking the appointment and the actual appointment itself I made a list of anything I wanted to ask or things like that. That way in my first appointment I had a list I could just read off and I knew I'd asked everything I needed.

I'd describe the Dr I saw as excellent. Non judgemental, very clued up, clearly a specialist, quick, efficient and happy to pick up questions.
I'm not and have never been a smoker so she helped me with info on potential risks of vaping summarised recent studies on the dangers etc.
