Hotels and Vaping.

Has anyone had an success in a hotel room allowing you to medicate through a dry vape? I can use oils but have flower PRN and would prefer to be able to use those first thing in the morning to help me get out of bed before the oils kick in. I am concerned it is going to set of the fire alarm but the reception staff said "she couldn't see why not" when I rang and asked if I could medicate in my room.

I used to be a nicotine vaper which created huge clouds, I vaped in hotels all the time.

Go into the bathroom shut the door and vape away (blow it into the bathroom fan)

I used my Mighty+ in a hotel room by vaping under the duvet which trapped the steam vapour and didn’t trouble the alarm at all.

I have been to multiple hotels and vaped in my room, the vapour does not set of the alarms and no staff had any issues at any of the places, these were spa hotels though.

I’ve vaped in loads of hotel rooms through the Uk and it’s always been fine, never had any issues and I’ve never disclosed my medication or anything like that.

Don't quote me on this as have never tried it....

But have seen a video online suggesting that if you sit in the bathroom with the shower on a max temp, then you can happily vape away as the steam will stop the fire alarm from going off.

Guy in the vid was doing portable dabs with enormous clouds of smoke 😮😮😮

My husband doesn’t like the smell so I have one of these for the nights when I don’t feel like going outside to vape.

It works really well and he can’t smell it at all. Literally, air comes out the end.

I was told to put a shower cap over the alarm, but in the end, I decided to go outside and vape. I didn't want to set the alarm or anything else daft.

Probably shouldn't, but I vape normal vape sticks in hotel bathrooms, and they kick out much more vapour than a mighty medic, and don't set anything off.

I asked the manager at a Mecure hotel that was checking me in and he was fine with it once I said I had paperwork to prove it and it's a medical device.
I just opened the windows and vaped by there and put a towel at the bottom of the door to try make sure it didn't drift out into the corridor but I had no issues and it made a pleasant change, especially as I struggle with fatigue after travelling so I could relax and try recover better.

I would say don't touch the smoke alarm, it's not sensitive enough to be set off by vapour. I've vaped dry herb and distillate oil carts in different hotels no problems with alarms. If you want to be discreet and minimise smell, you could invest in a smoke buddy or philter which you blow the vapour through that removes the smell. Great for reducing the risk of detection/preventing any issues if you don't want to ask permission

Get some OCD Pocket Spray.

Literally miracle stuff. 1 squirt and the whole room smells like fresh washing. Being a father with quite a responsible job - wouldn't go anywhere without it.

I get it from these guys.

If it was a cart you would have no issues in this situation.

put a sock over the detector and vape away to your heart's content.

just make sure you remember to remove it before you leave.

Would it not be a reasonable adjustment to request they provide a room with a balcony?

I stayed in a hotel about a month ago. Signs up saying no smoking or vaping inside the hotel. Most hotels will have smoke detectors in each room so if you do the chances are it'll just set them off.

I just vaped outside when I needed and then went back to my room. Personally I don't think it's worth it given how uncomfortable it would be if the alarm did go off because I'm vaping in the room.
