Have you contacted a solicitor to see if you could just sue them. The copper stole your legal meds and the force is protecting him. I can understand a misunderstanding with a poorly trained cop leading to a short bad time but they've had ample time to educate themselves and are now just refusing to follow the law.
Asking politely doesn't often work with police, shouting and getting angry almost never works with the police, solicitors do work often.

A good time to remind the police of their own principles and ideals.
POLICING BY CONSENT
The goal is preventing crime, not catching criminals. If the police stop crime before it happens, we don’t have to punish citizens or suppress their rights. An effective police department doesn’t have high arrest stats; its community has low crime rates.
The key to preventing crime is earning public support. Every community member must share the responsibility of preventing crime, as if they were all volunteer members of the force. They will only accept this responsibility if the community supports and trusts the police.
The police earn public support by respecting community principles. Winning public approval requires hard work to build reputation: enforcing the laws impartially, hiring officers who represent and understand the community, and using force only as a last resort.

If you speak to a solicitor ask them if you can report the Police's actions as a crime. Assuming you've already produced the proof that you have a prescription (and assuming you weren't doing anything wrong leading up to them confiscating it (i.e. smoking it, smelling it or driving whilst impaired) surely they have no legal grounds to withhold your medication.
If they've broken the law then it isn't your problem if they haven't got their finger out and allocated the complaint to someone.

"Professional"
"Standards"
Just keep letting them fuck this up and you'll get a decent payout. It will take a whole but persevere, be patient and DO NOT do their job for them. Their incompetence is your best friend right now.

You should receive a final response within 3 months. No matter what the response please escalate the complaint here https://pirc.scot/
‘Police investigations and review commissioner’
You can’t escalate to them until the final response comes through. The more people who highlight this to the people monitoring police conduct, the sooner we can enjoy our medication in peace.
