I recently learned that medication stays in our system for around 4 days, and would show up positive on testing.
I'd been avoiding using oil before driving for fear of being pulled over.. after learning this, I take my oil as prescribed daily. It makes no difference if I'm not impaired.
Yup, and I'm a better driver because of it, been an mc patient now for almost 3 years so I know how mc affects me.
The 7 different medications over the time from my GP were affecting me to the point that when I look back, I shouldn't have been allowed near any vehicle.
My answer was yes because I will likely test positive even if I have not used cannabis that day. Would I drive impaired? Never, that would be horrendous and irresponsible but when I use my medication at the dose prescribed I do not feel impaired. If I was using recreationally that would be different as a joint or a bong would leave me impaired for a few hours, however I take this seriously, follow my prescription and would never do anything to risk the safety of others.
I don’t drive if I feel impaired, but probably wouldn’t pass a swab test at any other point either. I drive ultra carefully now I’ve got a prescription.
I still think “impaired” is a grey area and if you were involved in an accident and tested positive for THC, personal judgement on impairment would count for very little.

Being medicated and being impaired are different things.
Technically, if we take a T-Break now, we’ll still be medicated on a police swab months from now.
So yes, anyone on MC and drives is driving medicated.

No, I never drive same day after I have medicated - I generally leave at least 8 hours.
Clearly anyone who is a daily user will always be driving *slightly* medicated but i''m taking that as just a general baseline :D
I tend to leave it that long as although I may not *feel* impaired for examples 2 hours after, I more than likely am and don't realise it.
