Hi!! In the past, I have had small episodes of psychosis, however I am now on antipsychotics and it has not happened now for at least 6 months. I have tried street weed with a friend a few times lately, and I have found it has really helped with my anxiety and depression, and has not caused any adverse effects.
I have read that people who experience psychosis can't apply for medical marijuana, however would it be different now that I'm on medication that is working?
Any advice would be appreciated, thank you!!

I think it is probably a hard no but here is some info on my case if it helps.
2021 I had audible flashbacks due to PTSD. I admitted myself the a psychiatric ward as I thought I was "hearing voices" I was put on an antipsychotic and sent on my way. The flashbacks don't go away so I readmit myself as my ex is also telling me I am "still crazy" eventually the doctor work out it is my PTSD and take me off all antipsychotics.
I mention this because I had to get a letter stating that I was at no risk of psychosis. Lyphe also wanted a letter or proof of mental stability after 6 months as they wouldn't accept the first letter despite that being what they asked for.
One the 6months were up I went back to my mental health team and the Psychiatrist wrote me a glowing report explaining I had been using Medical cannabis to help with my hEDS and PTSD however getting it on BM was giving me increased anxiety. I sent all the information I had gathered over the last 10 months and sent it to Sapphire. They accepted me.
I am pretty sure Psychosis is a contraindication of MC.

You can apply but you will be rejected by most if not all. I have heard of clinics making exceptions where the history was a single psychotic episode yearss ago, but for a patient currently on anti-psychotics I’m going to guess nobody will prescribe to you. It’s worth making some calls to some clinics and see what they say.

Depends on what caused the psychosis/ psychotic symptoms. If it was an adverse reaction to an infection or steroids etc they’ll probs be more willing to try.
If you have a family history of psychotic disorders it’s probs not worth the risk.
CBD has antipsychotic properties, so if you were willing to just do cbd flower/ oil that might be an option.
I’ve had a few relatives sectioned for psychotic symptoms including hallucinations and delusions. But I didn’t mention it at my initial appointment. I’ve been alright with it for 2y, then I found it just stopped working and sapphire just kept Telling me to increase the dose which I didn’t want to do - as I think I’m at more risk of drug induced psychosis.

Your best to talk to a few clinics see what they say, nobody here will be able to give you a definite answer

Contact clinics, do a search on the search bar on here for others that have posted about psychosis and target the same clinics as them.
Beyond that, no one has a legit answer for you.

I would not recommend it in all honesty. Cannabis is not a good bed fellow of psychosis.
