Police don't accept cancard now, only current within date FP10 perscription print off and the in date label on the container. You will be arrested and charged if you don't have the correct documents as proof of your prescription. I had to show two Police Scotland officers yesterday when they stopped me. They were very helpful and supportive to me which was great.
Edit: Your clinic can email your FP10 to you with every script. Give them a phone call and they can set that up automatically to receive it at every order. FYI Police Scotland CPD to officers:

The new holographic cancards don't need an app, they have a qr code that can be scanned to validate the card.
If you are worried cancard is a scam there's now cannapass which targets patients and works by validating an uploaded copy of your script.
There are a few thousand patients and a few million cannabis users in this country, script labels can't be verified at the point of contact.
Many of the police mistrust script labels, which they feel anyone could print.
Cancard isn't a scam, it's a patient trying to pick up a ball the government had no business dropping.
If the police want a way to validate patients that is on the state to provide, and that private attempts to fill that void are imperfect and unproven just comes with the territory. Cannabis remains our most used illegal narcotic, and the state can say a sticker is proof enough to possess it.
The reality is that the police are desperate enough for something that can be verified that they are willing to work with cancard, and compared to the cost of a script respecting that does not cost much at all.
As medical patients we have great power, we are the only cannabis users in the country who can advocate for it without personal legal risk.
Had we come together and supported cancard who knows how the stigma against cannabis could have changed, and how much more accepted it could have become.
Cancard could be our bulldog moment, but we are too busy pointing out it's flaws.

No there isn't. TBH the system is a bit outdated and broken. Check with ur local police force and if they don't expect you to have it I wouldn't bother. Unfortunately Norfolk and Suffolk police are briefed to expect you to be carrying one so I have to have one.
