Had my first consultation with Sapphire yesterday, it was only about 20 minutes long but seemed to go well. The Doctor asked some standard questions about my mental health so I explained that I could only select one on my eligibility assessment however in addition to Obsessive Compulsive Disorder I am suffering from depression, anxiety and PTSD. She then asked about my relationships with family and if I smoke or drink alcohol. Near the end of my consultation she asked me if I would prefer oil or flower if I were to be prescribed, so I told her I would prefer flower as that’s what i’m used to, and oil is more expensive and i’m on a bit of a tight budget. Is it a good thing that she asked which I would prefer? Am I likely to be accepted? Sitting around waiting is making my anxiety go mad, I really hope I get this prescription.

Highly likely you will be accepted. Your doctor takes your case to a MDT meeting where other consultants from different specialists make the final decision.

Sounds super positive from what you have mentioned. I think the major reasons people get turned down is when there’s a possibility of psychosis in your mental health history as cannabis can expedite symptoms or if you are unable to afford the medication as I bet they have to follow guidelines like loan companies do to ensure they are “responsible lenders”
I’m with Sapphire too and they get a lot of hate because they push Adven but so far I have no complaints and am happy being a legal MC patient. Let us know when you get your good news
