This shit makes me so cross. Police haven't got a clue when it comes to uk law and medical cannabis. But then, you know, they did admit all their officers can't keep up with law changes (letter on here a couple of weeks ago).
Most police aren't particularly bright. But they are particularly dangerous and will harm you or your loved ones given the chance. The law doesn't actually interest them, only exerting control and dominance over others does.
Don't try to reason with them. Or engage with them in any way. Avoid them at all costs. They won't get it "right" for as long as they can get away with it.
I don't even bother arguing with them anymore. I've literally copied and pasted the regulation on them, provided links to medical cannabis clinics, and academic research on cannabis, with a police officer still insisting that it's illigal and only the NHS will prescribe it in very rare cases (ok technically true but ignored private clinics) and you can't get it for x,y,z condition dispite the evidence I provide that said you can.
All in a discussion about police officers needing much better legal training than wat they currently have. Oh boy the irony of him saying they didn't whilst being so very wrong on the cannabis laws was hilarious. The was also other laws he was very wrong on. All very concerning if you ask me.
Many police officers (thousands) should be nowhere near a police uniform. Corruption is widespread within the force and many officers consume or resell the illegal drugs they seize. They do not care to know the law and spend more time breaking it than enforcing it and protecting people.
The moment they join the force, they're on a power trip, abusing their new-found powers and toxic patriarchal privileges to sexually assault, rape, kill, harass ex-wives or girlfriends, perpetrate xenophobic, racist and homophobic attacks, discriminate against minorities and vulnerable people, the list goes on...
Medical cannabis is not good for their own free supply and business. Hence why they prefer to seize it and will downvote your comment and be against medical cannabis.
And if you don't believe me, remember how the police officer / rapist and killer of Sarah Everard was protected by the police repeatedly. And you need to inform yourself better:

Extremely concerning we have officers out there who are this ignorant of the law they are paid to enforce. A friend of mine is a traffic cop and was also spouted the same incorrect info. Something needs to change here in terms of further training, the impact can be severe when medication is unlawfully confiscated. Ignorance of the law is no excuse, especially for someone like a police officer.
If its the case that medical cannabis doesnt come in the same form as street cannabis and that it will be illegal to possess such, then that must mean that the pharmacy are supplying illegal cannabis. So why aren't the police stopping the "illegal trade" of medical cannabis from the top??? 🤔
