I handed my notice and left my old job and have now started a new job today is day 1 and they have tried to drug test me and I told them Iโm on medical cannabis and was told I need to change my medication and come off my medication.
I was also told that sapphire is not a certified doctors and any one can get cannabis and that my medication was still prohibited and prescription ainโt deemed a genuine prescription like if I got it off a GP.
UPDATE :
Had a meeting with there main H&S director and I honestly believe if they could they would have let me go but after talking with solicitors and sapphire I think that realised they would be left open to legal action so they contacted there insurance who needs to amend there stance regarding thc as it is a legitimate medication so I can work on site.
Have been told I canโt use a company vehicle and will have to use my own vehicle but will be given a fuel card and allowance for the mileage to my vehicle and insurance.
So Monday I start back at work .

Massive massive congratulations! I’m genuinely glad you got resolution here. Adding to the anxiety some of us take this medication for doesn’t tend to help with symptoms.

Nice one that's really good news. Shame they had to put you through this stress in the first place and that they're insisting on treating you differently but I'm glad you're able to get back to work. Fairly play for standing up for yourself, you're helping to pave the way for others to have an easier time of it.
