There is hope

Just had my Dr appointment, told him about the p21 situation and that the price of meds is just getting unaffordable.

He told me that there are some clinics opening this year that will change the game, apparently they will have their own clinics/pharmacy's and produce the meds themselves instead of outsourcing, he said one of them will be Australian imports, and others will be supplied by these new farms in the UK.

He said once the price is and I quote "between £3.50 and £5 per gram" all the others will have to follow suit or go out of business.

This is the post I needed given my post about the pending T21 update. My mental health is helped by cannabis but worsened by poverty lol

Sounds promising tired of these businesses charging us through the nose.

Let's hope these new growers have some skills. Quality and an affordable price is what we want.

It's so bad that we can't grow our own plant(s) even a limit of 1 per adult on the household or 3 per household and you needed a medical reason like we do to get the medical cannabis.

Let's hope they end this ridiculous practice of drying to under 10% moisture content.

Let’s hope this doesn’t flood the market with poor quality flower being pumped out too fast…

The price should only go down as the market grows. When I got my first script the average prices were around £13/gram. They're now about £8 - that's not bad at all.

And then there will be another load of people posting here for the market research teams to read, saying they are happy to pay through the nose if the stuff looks good for instagram photos and we'll end up right back here again.

I do hope this turns out to be true, like alot of people i presume i have had to give up ordering MC as im on universal credit and pip benefits and can no longer afford to buy overpriced, inconsistent, usually mediocre medication. I have also spent most savings on this garbage too

If only patients were allowed to grow none of this would be a problem. Or even a compromise of grow facilities in the uk that create jobs for the unemployed while providing for the country. The amount of tax money they generate in America from cannabis is unreal. Why aren’t we allowed to make the same progress in the uk where it’s legal in the entire country unlike America?

It’s called Vertical Integration, it’s the only way to guarantee quality & price point when you control “seed to sale”, there is indeed going to be changes this year as experienced growers & specialist financiers enter the market.

Does your doctor have an investment in these clinics because I've only heard that UK farms will cost the same or more than imports? It's all indoor here with a climate not great for it.

I'd hazard a guess and say Cannatrek, I've been hearing similar rumours now for the last eight months.

Please help. I am P21 but I cant complete the surveys because their forms keep crashing on my phone. Will they take away my subsidy?

How would an experienced skilled grower go about filling this gap? Is it possible for someone to set up growing and supplying pharmacies?
I've looked into the licensing process and that seems more straightforward than actually supplying the pharmacies?
