I always open all of them to thoroughly check them over, and then transfer to glass jars for storage (keeping the plastic tubs for carrying outside, and then using them for storing craft supplies after the month has passed).
The bit of paper that comes with mine normally tells me to open and check the tubs so I can report any issues early doors. I'll be honest I really appreciated them making the decision for me so I never questioned it.
I tend to peel the seal most of the way back so I can check the flos and bung a boveda in the tub. That way I know any tubs with the seal still attached = unused.
I don't normally decant out of the tubs just for the sake of keeping the meds in the original packaging, however do generally prefer flos stored in brown glass containers vs plastic.
Better yet, get a UV proof glass jar and keep the pot to hand. Chuck it in there with the lid slightly loose for a few hours before sealing. Honestly the difference is night and day after a day even. It’ll be much better when you come to consume then imo. Can add a boveda in the mix if you want to balance the cure a little.

There were quite a few mold post last month.
I'd always check immediately.
