£76 in the UK, £19.60 in Canada - same product, are we being scammed? 🤔

IPS have imported & are selling viola bucketz disposable vapes from Canada for £76. I googled them, and they’re available on prescription in Canada for $32.95 (£19.60).

What could justify increasing the price by nearly 300% for the UK market?

We are fully being ripped off as far as prices on all products, but a lot of that comes down to just really really bad supply lines, and the fact it is all imported, which means,License to pay on a higher-class drug band than flowers I am guessing so might not be covered by the same license as flowers.Cost of importation, and I imagine they sell vastly less of these than they do flower as well, which will mean higher cost per unit to buy in.

Until we have more products being grown, or produced in the UK we are basically paying for air miles, and extra licences for the products moving around / across borders

This is what I've been saying and why I keep saying "fuck that". They're taking the piss out of everyone that's taken the jump.

The worst idea is paying for the prescription and buying off your mate. Or if you've fuck all to lose like me, don't bother at all.

Do they have a recycling scheme for these? I didn't realise they'd be disposables, that's horrid for the environment.

It really is a corrupted market, being scammed would suggest some Kind of malicious intent though.

English Definition (illegal plan for making money, especially one that involves tricking people)

Would you agree they are working within the law?Possibly you could source your product outside the legal market, but the reduction in cost would come with risk?

Of course we're being ripped off. How else are the UK cannabis cartels going to make millions of the back of us all?

importation, costs for licensing, and small market, the hike seems ridiculous, its the same reason timtams cost £15... unfortunately its the way of the world until everyone uses them.

Geeze. Even at Planet 13 (touristy and a bit overpriced cannabis marketplace in Vegas I went to while I was there) .5g vapes like this are only $35 with tax. We are getting very ripped off here in the UK….

If you’re buying legally prescribed cannabis in the UK, you’re already being scammed.

The cost of vape cartridges in the uk is just funny.

Its just distillate too with some added terps. No live rosin etc

The manufacturing of the product probably costs them pennies at scale.

I'm sure there are several overheads due to import and liscencing but 76 quid for 0.5ml. I mean really?

People are obviously buying them though.

I'd say rather than being scammed the vast majority of sellers of any products will charge what they can, if nobody buys at whatever price then it will come down. Only buy something if it's worth that to you in which case you haven't been ripped off. Everything is stupidly expensive in Britain now, the fuel is the worst (petrol/gas/electricity) because you can't not buy it if it's too expensive.

Ripp off Britain 🇬🇧 yeah
It’s been over two years with Lphe lack of consistency so I’ve not had a script since January 23 ,I had to go the self sustaining route, but I’m riddled with guilt because I’m having to provide my own grown .
Cost of living forced and delayed import
Spent thousands private only to be let down multiple times now I feel like a bad person for being self sufficient
