Got forced to attend a Spoons and (yes I know I don't need to) but I let the manager know of my script and that I'd be using the beer garden out of politeness and was told outright under no way was I allowed to vape near their premises. Tried to call today to try calmly explain Equality Act subsections, didn't have on me when this happened, only to be shouted at and hung up after being told to "take it up with head office".
So I emailed the legal team instead. Oh and donate to Seed Our Future folks

Sorry to anyone who thinks I'm sounding entitled, but we ARE entitled. This IS the law. We are allowed to use vapes indoors if we want if prescribed as our medication is medication and ergo protected.
Same as an inhaler or insulin injection. This is Seed Our Future and the government saying this.
Not just me. And I'm not doing it for me. I haven't been in there for years beforehand and won't go again.
I'm doing it for the next patient she might temperature like a leper. And that businesses know the law changes. Even if some of us don't.
BTW I only informed her initially I'd use it in the beer garden to be polite as I had a child with me, and she started shouting at me.

I would just leave it in future. Pub landlord can refuse service for anyone whenever they want. It's only in breach of the equality act if they discriminate based on disability which is really hard to prove unless they specify why they won't serve you.
If barman sees you stinking out beer garden with a vape and tells you to leave they have every right to do so. Many won't give a reason as they know doing so can avoid any litigation. If you vape off premises or use oil instead you won't get any problems.
Ideally we would live in a world where cannabis is legal and regulated and then we can all go to coffeeshops and dispos instead of pubs.
Can see both sides of this argument tbh. Vast majority of people have no idea about medical cannabis being legal in the UK. Hell most police are still not up to date with the law. A lot of people are put off by the smell and would complain about it. For many out there it's a sign of a seedy establishment and would put them off returning in future.
If you do this in the future all of your time will be spent emailing various legal divisions instead of just living life. Like you could have just vaped off premises and nobody would care.
Yes it should be treated as any other prescribed controlled drug but that doesn't mean you should be as blatant as possible whilst medicating in public. The smell is nauseating and off putting for many people. I love the smell but I know for some people it's straight up vomit inducing.

Just vape on the down low and be happy you are legal.
If you invite others opinions then you'll get told what to do..
I've used cannabis for over 20 yrs and never had an issue because I do my own thing in a very discreet way and tell no one, however I have my script ready.
This thing of telling whoever or wherever you're going that you have a script is crazy to me. You're just putting yourself under a spotlight.
It just causes unnecessary suffering for nothing.

Good for you, I stand with you.
Lol at people saying it will stink out the smoking area 😂 the irony - cigs are way stinkier and less pleasant!
My work only allow me to vape in the vape shelter, refuse to allow me to vape my CBPM in the medical room. that is currently being challenged in tribunal but it will take another year to resolve…
Shame there isn’t gov guidelines on how businesses should accommodate patients, I get the seed our future PDF, I gave it to my employer who dismissed it as not being from the gov. I am using it in my tribunal case.
Good luck!

The irony that purveyors of one of the most dangerous drugs (alcohol) don't allow medicine to be consumed on their premises!
Crazyjane125 on y/t [had a better experience](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VoLy1iHa1bQ) after initially being refused.

There are still so many grey areas and ignorance regarding the laws in the UK(although tbf, it hasn't really been in the press much) that I'm not surprised this has happened.
I work security for a nightclub in Scotland that also runs gigs/events and on two occasions fairly recently I have been overturned by managers who do not have a clue and have been forced to kick people out ext, guess which nightclub is currently, after receiving legal advice, paying out of court settlements for discrimination...

To whoever said they have a right... no they don't. This isn't a combustion oil vape.its not a nicotine vape. It's a legal medical device with legal medical medication.

Keep in mind when most of the police are still not aware of a law change from half a decade ago its hard to imagine managers of bars and Venues to be any more In the loop .
Up to us to educate ( kinda hoped the people making the money would be on top of this but 🤷♂️)

Like ecigs or coke; be careful, be compassionate & be sneaky. The average Wetherspoons is awash with illegal drugs.
Vaping your weed in the beer garden or toilet is fine if you are careful.
I get the feeling Tim Martin couldn't give a shit.
Pre-booking a weed friendly Wetherspoons table is not on my bingo card atm, but props to you for trying.

Again, folks, the "fuss" is a typed letter to a legal team, that's it. All I've done. Asking that MC patients have the same rights as other medicine users. That's it. That's all.
If I wanted to take it to court I could, I've got help but I don't want to. I want us to have rights. Not bothered about me. I ain't going in there again, but another MC patient could.
That's all.

It’s private venue, you can easily walk out on the street and vape and come back in minutes later. You just chose to be woke. The smell is potent and attention drawing- why would you even want the attention in the first place
This is coming from someone that has been discriminated in multiple ways and multiple times
Awaiting the down votes

Do it on the low-down. Save yourself the stress and hassle of taking up this fight. You’re coming across as a bit entitled tbh, not unlike a sizeable proportion of this community!

My understanding with our script is that you can’t medicate in a public place. I totally agree in terms of equality act that us as patients should be able to medicate freely but unfortunately none of the pills NHS prescribe when out the blister pack produce a godly aroma of terps.
Maybe if you wasn’t thinking ‘im a medical cannabis user im free now’ and actually used some common sense, bring ur vape with you and go round the corner or just don’t bring it up to management in the first place, vape away until told off then provide medical proof your okay.
Regardless if you vaped in spoons beer garden you’re going to get nicked as its in a public place and this pretty much rule number one in the medical cannabis patient guidelines.
